EARLY PAYMENT DISCOUNT
A discount of 5% is offered if the full year’s charges are paid in advance before Friday
9th December 2017, and 3% if paid before Friday 26th January 2018.

GENERAL INFORMATION REGARDING 2018 PAYMENTS
DUE DATE FOR PAYMENT
Payments are due and payable on the first day of each term.
The School reserves the right to exclude pupils from School if payments are not made in full by the 30th day after the first day of term.
EARLY PAYMENT DISCOUNT
1% - second term; 1% - third term; 1% - fourth term.
If total payments for 2018 are paid before 12.00 noon on Friday
8th December 2017, a discount of 5% will be applicable.
Your account will be credited in four equal amounts, one-quarter at the start of each term. If your payments are made in full before Friday 26th January 2018,
a discount of 3% will be applicable. This discount will be credited to your account as follows:
Payments may be made monthly by special arrangement with the Business Manager. Forms are available from Mrs. Angela Swanson in the Accounts Department, on request.
Amounts over 30 days will incur interest charges (see 'INTEREST' below).
For your convenience the school offers the use of a monthly Debit Order service. This can be arranged by obtaining Debit Order forms from Mrs. Ute Armitage in our Accounts Department. A set amount (annual charges
/ 10) will be deducted from your bank account over 10 months, either January to October, or February to November.
Please remember that it is your responsibility to ensure that sufficient funds are available in your bank account. It is advisable to include an amount over and above charges to cover payments for extras which may be added to your account.
NB: Amounts over 30 days will incur interest charges (see Point 6 below).
Debit Order forms must be returned before Friday 19th January 2018
PLEASE NOTE THAT DEBIT ORDER AGREEMENTS AND ELECTRONIC ARRANGEMENTS THROUGH THE SCHOOL MUST BE RENEWED EACH YEAR AS CHARGES ARE ADJUSTED ANNUALLY.
Interest will be charged on all accounts over 30 days at the rate of 1.5% per month.
We encourage direct deposits into the School’s bank account. When making such deposits please fax a copy of the deposit slip to Mrs Armitage, on 031 7644964,
clearly showing your name and school account number, so that we can identify the depositor. We receive many unidentified deposits.

We would like to inform you about various extra charges which may appear on your school account:
150 CLUB / “CLUB TMC”
We encourage every family to participate in this fundraiser. The cost is R175 per term, with a draw each term, usually during a social event.
The First Prize is one term’s charges free (credited to the oldest child). Should you not wish to take part, please contact Mrs. Armitage.
The 150 Club (now referred to as “CLUB TMC” on your statement) is an important source of funds for the development of better facilities at Thomas More College.
This is to assist with raising funds for the development of new and better facilities, and is charged termly at the rate of R125 per child.
This only applies to children who started at Thomas More College before 31st December 2008.
School photos, sports kit etc., may also be charged to your account, but your authorisation will first be sought for these.
You will have heard about our annual Long Walk at the end of the first term. There is a nominal charge to cover our costs.
INCLUDED in your School Charges are the following charges:
We publish an annual school magazine which will be handed out to each family at no extra charge.
- Personal Accident Insurance
compulsory for each pupil in order to ensure swift emergency service when
needed. The charge covers Emergency Medical Rescue and the cost of an accident
on the school grounds or during an excursion or tour. It is a single charge for
the year. The school pays the medical bills and processes the claim through the
insurance company. The portion of claims over the maximum per incident may be
claimed by parents through their own personal medical aid. For further details

- Thomas More College Past Pupils’ Association (PPA)
Membership charges of the Past Pupils’ Association are spread over the time that pupils are at Thomas More College. The benefit is that by the time your child matriculates, he or she will be a paid-up life member of the Association, and will be kept in touch with the Thomas More family, for life.
